Thanksgiving is always a great time for me. It's a time for my family to get together and share stories, smiles and laughter. I am never left short of a great time. I always dread leaving. I love Thanksgiving and family time.
This year for Thanksgiving we went to Detroit, TX. I love Detroit. I love being at my grandmother's house where I have more memories than I can count. I love the country air and the stars at night. I love the sound of the den door opening and closing with the entrance of family members. I love walks down Longstreet. I love hiding in the "woods" behind grandma's house, pretending that we are invisible. I love playing games and laughing all the while. I love watching movies on the big screen at Aunt Della and Uncle Jeff's house. I love riding Old Grey. I love riding on the four wheelers. I love random talks late at night.
I love Detroit.
I love my family.
I am so blessed to have them both.
