Trip down Memory Lane...

I love hearing stories about my family. Whether stories of my parents growing up, my grandparents, my sisters, or just stories of times that they lived in, I love hearing stories.

These stories have helped to shape me and my life. The decisions that people made helped to determine me and my life. For one, my parents decision to move to Clifton helped give me the opportunity to go to Clifton and now on to Baylor.

So, the sole purpose of this post is to take a quick trip down memory lane:

This is the house where my mom lived when she and my dad started dating.

On their first date, this is the house where my dad picked her up. This house holds lots of memories for my parents, and in turn, this house holds memories for me as well.

After my parents were married, they lived on Jan Kay Ranch. In 1990, they moved back to Paris, and lived in this same house. This house became our first home as a family. How great is that! This house is so special to my parents. It was great driving by this house and just hearing the stories they had of this house.

When I was born, this is the house my parents lived in:

This house is the house right next door to the first house. How great is it that the two houses that hold so many first memories for my family are side by side! I love hearing about my past and where I come from. I love seeing how my family has changed over the years. I love seeing my parents talk about their first date, their first home, their proposal and so on. I love seeing the way God has brought our family through hard times and into good times.

I love memories.

I love family.

I love that I have both so abundantly in my life.

Take a moment to reflect on memories. You will no doubt have a smile brought to your face.
