James 1:5

I have been looking over the verses that people have given me on facebook (thanks by the way!) and this week I have been reading over James 1:5:

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

First off, thanks Haley for this verse! I have loved reading over this verse!

I love that this verse says "if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God". I mean think about it. We all lack wisdom, and who else should we turn to than the one who understands us better than anyone!

But the next part of this verse is probably my favorite.

God gives to all generously and without finding fault.
Wow.

I mean how different would we be if we were like this? I mean wouldn't life be so much more beautiful? And wouldn't we then find Godly wisdom?

There are so many times when we hear of something that someone has done and our immediate thought is something not so positive or completely unloving. But God looks at all without finding fault.

He sees the imperfections of our lives and with those paints a beautiful masterpiece that is used for His glory. Our imperfections, although not our greatest moments, are seen in His eyes as beautiful. He has turned our misery into His masterpiece. He has turned our pain into His beauty.

And what if, instead of pointing fingers or turning backs, we looked at others imperfections and faults as moments of weakness that have been turned into strength through Christ?

I thnk that is partly the secret to finding wisdom. I think that this verse points out that God sees all without faults for a reason.

So, basically, I think that this verse is very encouraging and a great reminder for us. We should search for wisdom in Him, and look at others through His eyes.

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."
