John 13:7

These past few weeks have been really hard on me. I have experienced stress in so many different ways and have been discouraged by lots of things. However, last night while scrolling through facebook, I noticed a friend's status. Her status simply read "John 13:7". Struck by curiousity I went and read the verse.

"Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand."

I sat back and just looked at the verse over and over and over again. I began to think: there are so many things that have happened to me or my family or to those that I love in the past few weeks and even months that I cannot begin to understand.

But the thing is, it really doesn't matter if I understand right now. The point is that Christ has something even better in store for me in the future. And although there are things happening that I wish I could understand better, I can't. Right now anyways. But in time, I will understand.

So, even though I desire to understand the trials I am going through and why I have to go through them, right now I need to just understand that in time it will all make sense.
