My sweet Riley Anne

It is hard to believe that 3 years ago today, our family was blessed with Miss Riley Anne. Time sure has flown by. I cannot imagine by life without her in it. I realize that she is only three, but in these few short years, she has taught me so much about myself and about life.

Through Riley, I have seen the beauty of life. I have seen how simple pleasures can mean the world. She finds joy in so much that we take for granted. She can see a simple pile of dirt and see her afternoon playground. She can see a piece of paper and turn it into her masterpiece. She enjoys life and sees beauty in it.

She has shown me the power of love. A simple phrase that is so often taken for granted has so much meaning, and through her, I have seen the power of the words "I love you". Riley constantly brings love into the lives of those she meets and I am amazed by how she instantly can capture someone's heart.

I have seen childlike faith through her. It is the sweetest sound to hear a young child asking to pray. It is the sweetest thing to see a child wanting to sing praises. It melts my heart to see her listen so attentively in church. She is such a great example of faith and what it means to have childlike faith. It is so encouraging.

Rebekah and Ryne you guys are amazing parents. It is apparent in the way that your daughter and son act. I am so blessed to be related to such wonderful, Godly people and these kids are so so blessed to have you guys as parents.

Riley,

I love you more than you will ever know. You really do mean the world to me and I will always cherish the memories I have with you. I cannot wait to see the woman you become. I know that God has great plans in store for you. Never be afraid to be yourself. Never stop dreaming. Never forget that I love you.

Love,

Aunt Lizzy

My prayer for you:

"And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God."                                  Phillipians 1:9-11
