I've decided to take those thoughts that I have and put them into posts. One of the thoughts I had today was about my future and my life. Here is a list of things that I want out of my life:
1. To graduate college and begin teaching in a good school district
2. To get married to a wonderful man
3. To have a family
4. To be involved in my local church and influence my children in a positive way
once I began making my list, something came to mind: all the things I want out of life are for the good of one person: me. Not that this list is a bad list, but it is for the benefit of me and me alone. I never stop to think about what God wants out of my life or how I can live to glorify Him.
It says in Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also."
How different would my life look if I made God my treasure and He was the priority in my life and not me and what I can accomplish for myself?
What if we all began to think of this? How different would our lives be? There would be such an overwhelming love shown and how incredible would that be?!
So, all this to say, I know that there are plans I have for my life, but I'm going to attempt (hehe) to live in a way where God is the planner and I am simply the one to carry out those plans instead of the other way around.
