I came into this job not really knowing what to expect. I knew that what G3S2 did was help people, but I wasn't sure what we really could do. I knew that things would be stressful, but I didn't know how. I knew there would be great memories made, but I didn't realize just how great.
I have learned so much from this summer. Matt (one of the founders of G3S2 and my overall boss) made the comment that I am probably the only intern they have ever had to walk away from this with no more technology knowledge than when they started....that is an accomplishment I will take! Although technologically I might not have learned more, I did in so many other areas.
I learned about people. I learned about life. I learned about doing something greater with who you are. I learned what it means to be a follower of Christ wherever you are. And those things, those lessons, are ones that will follow me wherever I go. And for that, I consider this job a success.
There are so many wonderful things that happened this summer. So many people I worked with and so many stories told that will forever be embedded in my mind. I don't have the time to tell them all now, but if you want, let's grab coffee and just talk =)
God did some amazing things this summer and he worked through this ministry and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to share in that.
I have posted some pictures below from the other night. We had a karaoke pasture party-who can say that they have karaoke parties with their boss??! Well anyways, my family came to visit and I have some pictures from that...hope you enjoy!
