"Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
and the cattle barns are empty,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!"
~Habakkuk 3:17-18
These verses came to mind today as I was looking through my bible and it got me thinking..."What are my "Thoughs"?
Though at times i feel insecure about who i am and the way I appear
Though at times i feel used and unloved
Though at times i seek and cannot find
Though at times i desire to be strong and find i have no strength left
Though i have people close to me who let me down
Though i do not always see the light in the darkness
"I WILL rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!"
No matter what you are going through and no matter what your "thoughs" are, God is still God and we can still rejoice in that!
Take this encouragement as it has really encouraged me today. Although there are things in my life i want to change and there are situations that i wish i knew a way out of, God is God and I WILL rejoice!
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4
Hannah,
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome thought and what encouraging words from such a young woman. You are wise beyond your years. I most certainly am thinking about what my "though's" are and I am feeling convicted to praise God through them. Thank you. I love you with all my heart.

One of my all time fav verses. The world will hand us a lot of 'thoughs'; but remember that Christ will go thru them with you! I am so proud of the young lady that you are!
