I am always looking for a change in society. I am always waiting the day when people really begin to acknowledge Christ and His love, mercy, grace and power. However, it seems as though this change never fully comes around. And I realize, the change has to start with me.
So, I have dedicated myself to changing me. I want to be who God has called me to be. I want to be the witness He knows I can be. I want to be the change that I want to see.
Over the next few months I am going to be going through some changes in my life. I hope that God works in me, and I am confident that I will slowly grow more into the woman God desires for me to be.
For December, I have decided to dedicate time each day to pray for something, someone, or some place. In the bible, the word pray or prayer is mentioned over 350 times. I think that just goes to show the importance of prayer in our lives. Here are a few verses I found that stood out to me:
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:12
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12
Prayer is powerful. So, this is what I am going to do. I have made a list of 31 things that have been put on my heart to pray for on a specific day of December. I would love to have people praying for me through this journey to encourage me and to help keep me accountable in this. I will do my best to post each day, but if not, I will be sure to give an account at the end of this on how it works.
If you would like to join me, I can email you the list I have come up with and I would love to have people praying through December with me.
I encourage you to be the change. It starts with you. Be willing to change for the good. Be willing to learn. Be willing to listen. Be willing to be used by God.
Love, love, love this idea and love you too! Please email me so that I can pray with you and for you.
