Iron Man

So apparently I'm blogger happy tonight. But I feel like it's for good reasons so anyways on with the post:
O wait! I forgot! The pictures above....yeah they have NOTHING at ALL to do with this post..I just thought they were adorable so that's why they are there =)

Moving on...
I was thinking tonight about the movie Iron Man. In case you have not seen it, it is about a man who develops a suit that gives him certain "super" powers. In Iron Man 2 (which I do recommend) there is one scene where Iron Man is becoming "power Happy" so his friend puts on a suit in order to take that power and stop Iron Man. This made me think....how come this man finds strength in this suit and after dwelling in the suit, he is able to defeat "evil" or in this case Iron Man?

In Ephesians 6 it says "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."

It made me think: when was the last time I found my source of strength in Christ? When did I last dwell in the armor of God in order to overcome evil? Whether in the form of a problem, or a spiritual battle, when did I last take refuge in Christ as opposed to me and my own strength?

I know that this analogy is a long shot, but this particular scene made these verses come alive to me. Where do you find your strength? Are you putting on the armor of God? Or are you relying on your own strength to get you through?
